Boston Chauffeur is looking for licensed CDL drivers with exceptional driving and customer service abilities.
We are currently seeking both full-time and part-time Class B CDL drivers for bookings throughout the North Shore and Boston, as well as other destinations. Various shifts are available mornings, afternoons, evenings, and overnights.

- Class B CDL
- A clean record and Passenger Endorsement (Air Brakes a plus)
- Superior driving skills – Clean MVR
- Customer service experience preferred
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to pass DOT physical (health card)
- Able to pass pre-employment and random drug screens

How to Obtain Your Commercial Driver’s License
If you’re interested in becoming a CDL driver but don’t currently hold a license, you’ll need to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) as it’s required for driving larger commercial vehicles.
To assist you in navigating the CDL licensing procedure in Massachusetts, we’ve compiled a guide that will help you join the ranks of the elite chauffeurs. Follow the steps below to obtain your CDL license.
Applying for a CDL License:
According to the MA RMV, applicants may apply for a CDL beginning at age 18. However, Federal Regulations state that a license holder, including CDL holders, must be 21 years of age to drive a commercial motor vehicle in interstate commerce. Therefore, CDL holders in Massachusetts under the age of 21 will be issued a K restriction (Intrastate Operation Only). Get more details and begin the process here.
Understanding Endorsements:
An endorsement is a designation on your CDL that indicates that you’re qualified to operate specific kinds of vehicles or to use them in specific ways. For example, you need an endorsement to carry passengers in a commercial vehicle, and you also need an endorsement to drive a vehicle carrying hazardous materials.
Once you’ve earned an endorsement, the letter that represents it will be printed on the front of your CDL and a description on the back.
For success in luxury chauffeur services, it’s crucial to have endorsements tailored to your specific vehicle type:
- The P Endorsement is for transporting passengers in commercial vehicles and requires a written exam and road test.
- An A Endorsement is required for operating commercial vehicles with airbrakes.
Prepare for Your Commercial Commercial Driver’s Test:
Each CDL class and corresponding endorsement requires passing a written exam and road test.
Self Certification:
Once you are a CDL driver, you are federally required to self-certify. This means that you must tell the RMV if you will operate only in Massachusetts or will cross state lines. You must also tell The RMV if you’re required to hold a medical certificate.
If you have an out-of-state CDL that’s being renewed, upgraded, or transferred from that state, you need to complete a CDL self-certification, which includes a CDL self-certification form and a copy of the medical certificate.
You may also need to provide the RMV with documentation showing that you have received a vision, diabetes, or skills performance evaluation variance from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).
